ADUM1401ARWZ-RL

The ADUM1401ARWZ-RL is a quad-channel digital isolator manufactured by ADI Electronics, based on iCoupler® technology. This component integrates high-speed CMOS and monolithic transformer technology to provide superior performance compared to traditional optocouplers, eliminating design challenges related to current transfer ratios and temperature effects.

Key features include a high data rate of up to 90 Mbps (NRZ), precise timing characteristics with a maximum pulse width distortion of 2 ns, and channel-to-channel matching of 2 ns. It offers high common-mode transient immunity of greater than 25 kV/µs and supports bidirectional communication with 3 V/5 V level translation. The isolator is qualified for automotive applications and can operate at high temperatures up to 125°C.

Safety and regulatory approvals include UL recognition at 2500 V rms for 1 minute per UL 1577, CSA Component Acceptance Notice 5A, and VDE Certificate of Conformity DIN V VDE V 0884-10 with a VIORM of 560 V peak. It also holds TÜV approval to IEC/EN/UL/CSA 61010-1 standards.

This digital isolator is suitable for general-purpose multichannel isolation, SPI interface/data converter isolation, RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 transceivers, industrial field bus isolation, and automotive systems. It comes in a 16-lead SOIC wide body package.
