The ADUM1301ARWZ-RL by ADI Electronics is a triple-channel digital isolator based on iCoupler® technology. It provides superior performance compared to traditional optocouplers, eliminating design challenges related to current transfer ratios and temperature effects.
This isolator supports high data rates up to 90 Mbps (NRZ) with precise timing characteristics, including a maximum pulse width distortion of 2 ns and channel-to-channel matching of 2 ns. It offers high common-mode transient immunity of greater than 25 kV/µs.
Operating with supply voltages from 2.7 V to 5.5 V, the ADUM1301ARWZ-RL supports 3 V/5 V level translation. It can operate at high temperatures up to 125°C. Power consumption is low, with maximum current draw ranging from 0.8 mA/channel at 3V/0-2 Mbps to 32 mA/channel at 5V/90 Mbps.
Safety and regulatory approvals include UL 1577 with an isolation voltage of 2500 Vrms for 1 minute, and compliance with IEC/EN/CSA 62368-1, EN 60950-1, and others. The component is housed in a 16-lead SOIC wide body package, suitable for surface mounting.
