ADUM1301BRW

The ADuM1301BRW by Analog Devices is a triple-channel digital isolator based on iCoupler® technology. It combines high-speed CMOS and monolithic transformer technology to provide superior performance compared to optocouplers, eliminating design challenges associated with LEDs and photodiodes.

This isolator supports bidirectional communication and 3 V/5 V level translation, operating with supply voltages from 2.7 V to 5.5 V. It features high data rates up to 90 Mbps (NRZ) with precise timing characteristics, including a maximum pulse width distortion of 2 ns and channel-to-channel matching of 2 ns. Power consumption is notably low, with a maximum of 1.2 mA per channel at 2 Mbps on a 5V supply and 0.8 mA per channel at 2 Mbps on a 3V supply.

The ADUM1301BRW is qualified for automotive applications and operates at high temperatures up to 125°C. It offers high common-mode transient immunity of greater than 25 kV/µs. Safety and regulatory approvals include UL 1577 with an isolation voltage of 2500 Vrms for 1 minute, and compliance with IEC/EN/CSA standards.

Packaged in a 16-lead SOIC wide body, this component is suitable for surface mount applications. It is designed for general-purpose multichannel isolation, SPI interface/data converter isolation, RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 transceivers, industrial field bus isolation, and automotive systems.
