In a fault condition, an adjustable fault timer must expire before the pass device is turned off. The LTC4364-2 variant automatically restarts after a delay.

 

This surge stopper precisely monitors input supply for overvoltage (OV) and undervoltage (UV) conditions. An integrated ideal diode controller drives an external N-channel MOSFET to replace a Schottky diode, minimizing reverse current transients upon power source failure, brownout, or input short. It also offers a low shutdown current of 10μA at 12V.
