The HI-8460PSI by Holt Integrated Circuits is a galvanically isolated single ARINC 429 line receiver designed for robust interface protection. It provides 800V isolation between the line receiver and the logic interface, making it suitable for systems requiring host interface protection or different ground potentials.
Featuring internal lightning protection circuitry compliant with RTCA/DO-160G, Section 22, the HI-8460PSI allows direct connection to the ARINC 429 bus without external components. It operates from a single 3.3V supply and is pin-compatible with existing Holt line receivers, offering a cost-effective solution for adding galvanic isolation to designs.
Available in industrial (-40°C to +85°C) and extended (-55°C to +125°C) temperature ranges, the HI-8460PSI comes in an industry-standard SOIC-8 package or a small footprint 4mm x 4mm 16-pin QFN. Optional burn-in is available for extended temperature range devices.
This device is ideal for avionics and data communication applications where galvanic isolation between a host MCU and the bus is critical, or for ARINC 429 to CMOS/TTL level conversion.
