Hi-2579LCIF

The Holt Integrated Circuits Inc. HI-2579LCIF is a low power CMOS dual transceiver featuring integrated transformers, designed to meet MIL-STD-1553 and MIL-STD-1760 specifications. This single-package solution interfaces a protocol IC or FPGA to a dual redundant MIL-STD-1553 bus, offering a significant reduction in footprint and cost. Its low profile design makes it suitable for applications with component height restrictions, such as PMC and XMC cards.

The transmitter section converts complementary CMOS/TTL Manchester II bi-phase data to differential voltages for driving the integrated isolation transformer, with separate inhibit controls for each transmitter. The receiver section converts the 1553 bus differential data to complementary CMOS/TTL data for input to a Manchester decoder, with separate enable inputs to force outputs to a logic '0' state.

Available in industrial (-40°C to +85°C) and extended (-55°C to +125°C) temperature ranges, the HI-2579LCIF operates from a 3.3V single supply and has a maximum power dissipation of less than 1.0W. It is compliant with MIL-STD-1553A & B, MIL-STD-1760, and ARINC 708A.

This transceiver is ideal for MIL-STD-1553/MIL-STD-1760 interfaces, PMC and XMC cards, smart munitions, stores management systems, sensor interfaces, instrumentation, and test equipment.
