The ULN2003A is a versatile 7-channel Darlington array driver IC manufactured by Nexperia USA Inc. This component is designed for high-voltage and high-current applications, offering an output current capability of up to 500mA per channel and a withstand voltage of 50V.
Each channel consists of a 2.7kΩ resistor in series with a NPN Darlington pair, making it directly compatible with TTL and 5V CMOS logic levels without requiring buffer circuits. The open-collector outputs are suitable for driving various loads.
Available in DIP-16-300-2.54 and SOP-16-225-1.27 packages, the ULN2003A operates within a wide temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. Its design includes clamp diodes for switching inductive loads, making it ideal for applications such as relay drivers, clamp drivers, stepper motor drivers, and solenoid drivers.
The input voltage range is -0.5 to 30 V and the output voltage range is -0.5 to 50 V.
