The Vishay Dale TPSMP24AHM3_A/H is a high power density surface mount Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diode. It features a Zener type design with a breakdown voltage range of 6.8V to 43V and a working voltage range of 5.8V to 36.8V. This device offers excellent clamping capability with a peak pulse power dissipation of up to 400W and a peak surge current of 40A.
Designed for high reliability and automotive requirements, it has a junction temperature capability of 185°C and meets MSL level 1. The very low profile, typical height of 1.0 mm, makes it ideal for automated placement. The device is housed in a DO-220AA (SMP) package, suitable for surface mounting.
Typical applications include protection for ICs, drive transistors, and signal lines in consumer, computer, industrial, and automotive electronics. The unidirectional design ensures efficient protection against transient voltage events.
