The Samtec SFMC-111-03-S-D is a Tiger Eye™ female socket strip from the SFMC series, designed for high-reliability board-to-board or cable-to-board interconnections. This 22-position receptacle features two rows with a 1.27mm (0.050") pitch and row spacing. It utilizes a push-pull fastening mechanism and is terminated via through-hole solder tails (lead style -03).
The contact material is beryllium copper (BeCu) with a tin plating (30.0µin / 0.76µm), providing excellent durability and electrical performance. The insulator is black liquid crystal polymer (LCP) with a UL94 V-0 flammability rating. Rated for 2.9A per contact and 220VAC/310VDC, the part operates over a temperature range of -55°C to +125°C. It supports up to 10,000 mating cycles when used with gold-plated contacts.
Typical applications include rack-and-panel systems, mezzanine connections, and cable-to-board interfaces where a compact, reliable, high-cycle connector is required. The through-hole termination ensures robust mechanical attachment to the PCB.
