The S202S15V Series Solid State Relay from Sharp Microelectronics is designed for controlling high-voltage AC loads with solid-state reliability. It features an output current rating of up to 8.0A (IT(rms)) and a high repetitive peak off-state voltage (VDRM) of 600V.
This SSR integrates an infrared emitting diode (IRED), a Phototriac Detector, and a main output Triac. It includes a built-in snubber circuit and a non-zero crossing function. The device provides a high isolation voltage of 3.0kV (Viso(rms)) between the input and output, making it suitable for isolated interfaces between high-voltage AC devices and lower-voltage DC control circuitry.
The S202S15V is housed in a 4-pin SIP package and is suitable for switching applications such as motors, fans, heaters, solenoids, and valves. It can also be used for phase or power control in lighting and temperature control equipment. The package resin has a UL flammability grade of 94V-0. A screw hole is provided for heat sink attachment.
