The KEMET R79IC2680DQ40J is a metallized polypropylene film capacitor from the R79 series, designed for pulse and high-frequency applications. It has a capacitance of 0.068 µF and a rated voltage of 250 VDC, with a capacitance tolerance of ±5% (J tolerance). The dielectric is metallized polypropylene, providing self-healing properties. The capacitor is encapsulated in a radial box package with tinned wire leads and a lead spacing of 5 mm. It is rated for operating temperatures from -55°C to +105°C and meets UL 94 V-0 flammability requirements. Typical applications include timing, oscillator circuits, and high-frequency coupling and decoupling. Note: KEMET recommends the R75 series as a replacement for this series.
