The PMEG4030ETP is a 40 V, 3 A Schottky barrier rectifier from Nexperia, designed for high efficiency and high temperature operation. It features a low forward voltage (typical 430 mV, maximum 490 mV at 3 A) and a high maximum junction temperature of 175 °C. The device uses clip-bonding technology for high power capability, and an integrated guard ring for stress protection. The typical reverse current is 35 µA at 25 °C, with a maximum of 200 µA. Non-repetitive peak forward current is rated at 50 A. Junction capacitance is 350 pF at 1 V, 1 MHz.
The rectifier is suited for low voltage rectification, high efficiency DC-to-DC conversion, switch mode power supplies, reverse polarity protection, and low power consumption applications. The part is packaged in a small and flat lead SOD128 (CFP5) surface-mount plastic package with a 4 mm terminal pitch. It is suitable for both reflow and wave soldering. Mounting type is surface mount, with the device having a total power dissipation of 750 mW on FR4 standard footprint and a thermal resistance of 200 K/W junction-to-ambient on FR4.
