The PMEG3050EP is a 30V, 5A Schottky barrier rectifier designed by Nexperia, featuring a planar design with an integrated guard ring for stress protection. It is encapsulated in a small and flat lead SOD-128 (CFP5) surface-mount plastic package, suitable for both reflow and wave soldering.
Electrically, the diode delivers an average forward current of 5 A under specified conditions and a low forward voltage of typically 315 mV at 5 A. It offers a reverse voltage rating of 30 V and a non-repetitive peak forward current capability of 70 A. The fast recovery time of ≤500 ns makes it suitable for high-frequency switching applications. The junction capacitance is 800 pF at 1 V and 1 MHz.
Thermally, the device has a maximum junction temperature of 150°C and a power dissipation of 2.1 W when mounted on a ceramic PCB. The thermal resistance from junction to ambient is 200 K/W. The storage temperature range is -65°C to 150°C.
