The PMEG2020CPASX is a dual Schottky barrier rectifier manufactured by Nexperia. It uses planar MEGA (Maximum Efficiency General Application) technology to achieve low forward voltage and low reverse current. The device contains two Schottky diodes in a common cathode configuration, each rated for 20V reverse voltage and 2A average forward current. The forward voltage is typically 385mV and does not exceed 420mV at 2A. Reverse current is typically 380µA with a maximum of 1mA at 20V. The reverse recovery time is 55ns, suitable for fast switching applications.
The rectifier is encapsulated in an ultra-thin DFN2020D-3 (SOT1061D) leadless SMD plastic package with visible and solderable side pads, enabling automatic optical inspection of solder joints. The exposed heat sink pad provides excellent thermal and electrical conductivity. The device is qualified to AEC-Q101 and operates at junction temperatures up to 150°C.
Typical applications include low voltage rectification, high efficiency DC-DC conversion, switch mode power supplies, free-wheeling, reverse polarity protection, battery chargers, and LED backlighting for mobile equipment. The common cathode design simplifies layout in circuits requiring two diodes sharing a common connection.
