The PESD5V0R1BSFYL is an ultra low capacitance bidirectional ESD protection diode from Nexperia, part of the TrEOS Protection family. It is designed to protect sensitive high-speed data lines from electrostatic discharge (ESD) events.
This device offers a reverse standoff voltage of 5 V and a typical clamping voltage of 9.2 V. It can handle peak pulse currents up to 4.5 A (8/20 µs waveform). The diode capacitance is extremely low at 0.1 pF typical, making it suitable for high-speed interfaces. ESD protection is rated at ±10 kV contact discharge and ±15 kV air discharge according to IEC 61000-4-2.
The TrEOS Protection family is optimized for safeguarding very sensitive high-speed interfaces in portable electronics, communication devices, consumer electronics, and computing equipment. Typical applications include ultra high-speed data lines and generic interface lines.
The device is housed in a DSN0603-2 (SOD962-2) leadless ultra small surface-mount package, measuring 0.6 mm x 0.3 mm x 0.3 mm. It operates over a temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
