The PESD5V0C1BLS-QYL from Nexperia USA Inc. is an ultra-low capacitance bidirectional ElectroStatic Discharge (ESD) protection diode. It is part of the TrEOS Protection family and is designed to protect automotive in-vehicle network bus lines from ESD and other transients.
This diode features a reverse standoff voltage of 5V and a typical clamping voltage of 5.4V. It can handle a peak pulse current of 6.5A (8/20µs) and has a very low diode capacitance of less than 0.3pF at 1MHz. The device also exhibits a dynamic resistance of 0.35 Ohm and provides ESD protection starting from 15 kV according to IEC 61000-4-2 and ISO10605 standards.
Designed for automotive environments, the PESD5V0C1BLS-QYL is suitable for protecting ultra-high-speed data lines such as USB 3.2 or HDMI 2.0, as well as Low-Voltage Differential Signaling (LVDS) automotive applications, automotive A/V monitors, displays, and cameras. It is qualified according to AEC-Q101.
The component is housed in a small leadless DFN1006BD-2 (SOD882BD) surface-mounted device (SMD) plastic package with side-wettable flanks. Its compact size and surface mount capability make it ideal for space-constrained designs.
