The Nexperia PESD3V3S1BLYL is a low capacitance, bidirectional ElectroStatic Discharge (ESD) protection diode. It is designed to safeguard one signal line from damage caused by ESD events and other transients. This device is housed in an ultra-small, leadless SOD882 (DFN1006-2) Surface-Mounted Device (SMD) plastic package.
Key electrical characteristics include a reverse standoff voltage (VRWM) of 3.3 V, a low clamping voltage (VCL) of 9.3 V at 15 A (8/20 µs), and an ultra-low leakage current (IRM) of less than 1 nA. The diode capacitance is 35 pF at 1 MHz and 0 V.
This ESD protection diode provides protection up to 30 kV according to IEC 61000-4-2 level 4. It also meets IEC 61000-4-5 for surge protection with a peak pulse current (IPPM) of 15 A. The device is AEC-Q101 qualified, making it suitable for automotive applications.
The PESD3V3S1BLYL is ideal for ESD and surge protection in very sensitive and generic interface lines within portable electronics, communication, consumer, and computing devices. Its compact DFN1006-2 package and surface mount capability facilitate integration into space-constrained designs.
