The PESD2CAN,215 is a bidirectional TVS diode designed to protect two automotive Controller Area Network (CAN) bus lines from electrostatic discharge (ESD) and other transients. It is manufactured by Nexperia and comes in a small SOT23 surface-mount package.
With a reverse standoff voltage of 24V, it clamps transients at 41V (typical at 5A peak pulse current). It offers a peak pulse power rating of 230W for an 8/20µs waveform. The diode capacitance is typically 25pF at 1MHz, ensuring minimal signal distortion on the CAN bus.
The device is IEC 61000-4-2 compliant for ESD protection up to 30kV contact and 15kV air discharge, and also meets IEC 61000-4-5 for surge protection. It is AEC-Q101 qualified for automotive applications. The operating temperature range is -55°C to 150°C.
The PESD2CAN,215 is available in a TO-236-3 (SOT-23-3) package, which is surface mountable. The supplier device package is TO-236AB. It is RoHS3 compliant and has an MSL of 1 (unlimited).
