The NUP4304MR6T1G is a low capacitance diode array from onsemi, designed to protect sensitive components from electrostatic discharge (ESD) and other transient voltages. This device integrates four steering (rail-to-rail) diodes in a single SC-74 package, providing a compact solution for protecting up to four data lines. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 70 V and an ultra-low capacitance of 1.5 pF maximum between I/O lines, ensuring minimal signal degradation on high-speed data interfaces.
The device meets IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4 ESD protection requirements, with an 8 kV contact discharge and 15 kV air discharge rating. It also provides protection per JEDEC standards JESD22 (Machine Model Class C, Human Body Model Class 3B). The array can handle a forward current of up to 200 mA per diode and a peak forward surge current of 500 mA.
This diode array is ideal for protecting high-speed data lines such as USB 1.1/2.0, T1/E1, T3/E3, HDSL, IDSL, video lines, I2C buses, and microcontroller inputs. Its rail-to-rail architecture directs transients to either the positive supply or ground, making it suitable for a wide range of general-purpose ESD protection applications.
The NUP4304MR6T1G is housed in a Pb-free SC-74 (TSOP-6) surface mount package, with a standard tape and reel packaging of 3,000 units per reel. It has an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C and is RoHS compliant (Pb-free device). The device is also available in an automotive-qualified variant (SZNUP4304MR6T1G) for applications requiring AEC-Q101 compliance.
