The NUP1128WTT1G from On Semiconductor is a single-line bidirectional TVS diode designed to protect CAN and LIN transceivers from electrostatic discharge (ESD) and other transient voltage events. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 26.5 V and a typical breakdown voltage of 31 V. The device provides a typical clamping voltage of 50 V at 3.5 A peak pulse current (8/20 µs waveform) and can handle a peak pulse power of 165 W.
This TVS diode meets several international immunity standards, including IEC 61000-4-2 ESD (Level 4, ±30 kV contact and air), IEC 61000-4-4 EFT (50 A at 5/50 ns), and IEC 61000-4-5 lightning surge (3.0 A at 8/20 µs). It also complies with ISO 7637-1 and ISO 7637-3 for automotive surge and EFT immunity. The device is rated for an operating junction temperature range of -55°C to 175°C, making it suitable for high-temperature automotive environments.
The NUP1128WTT1G is housed in a compact SC-70 (SOT-323) surface-mount package with three leads. It is Pb-free, halogen-free, and RoHS compliant. The part is ideal for automotive networks including CAN, CAN-FD, and LIN applications.
The maximum reverse standoff voltage is 26.5 V.
The breakdown voltage is 27.5 V minimum, 31 V typical, and 35.5 V maximum at 1 mA.
The typical clamping voltage is 50 V at 3.5 A peak pulse current (8/20 µs waveform).
The typical peak pulse current is 3.5 A for an 8/20 µs waveform. Note: The datasheet specifies 3.0 A for IEC 61000-4-5 lightning surge.
It is available in SC-70 (SOT-323) surface mount package.
It provides ±30 kV contact and air discharge per IEC 61000-4-2, and also meets ISO 10605 ESD requirements.
The operating junction temperature range is -55°C to 175°C.
