The NSPM1041BMUTBG is a bidirectional ESD protection diode designed by On Semiconductor to safeguard sensitive electronics from electrostatic discharge (ESD) and lightning-induced surges. It complies with IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4 for ESD protection (±30kV contact and air discharge) and IEC 61000-4-5 for surge protection up to 125A (8/20µs).
This device features a reverse working voltage of 3.3V (pin 1 to pin 2) and 4.8V (pin 2 to pin 1), with a breakdown voltage range of 4.5V to 6.0V (pin 1 to pin 2) and 4.85V to 6.0V (pin 2 to pin 1). The clamping voltage is typically 5.6V at 1A and 10.8V at 125A peak pulse current. Dynamic resistance is 0.022Ω (pin 1 to pin 2) and 0.018Ω (pin 2 to pin 1), ensuring low clamping performance.
The diode is packaged in a compact 2-UDFN (2x1.25mm) surface-mount package, suitable for space-constrained applications. It is lead-free, halogen-free, and RoHS compliant. The operating temperature range spans -65°C to +150°C, making it suitable for harsh environments.
Common applications include protection of data lines, USB ports, HDMI interfaces, and other high-speed signal lines in consumer electronics, telecommunications, and industrial equipment.
