The MCF5474ZP266 from NXP Semiconductors is a powerful 32-bit microcontroller built around the ColdFire V4E core, capable of reaching peak internal frequencies of 266 MHz. This device features a Harvard architecture with 32KB of instruction cache and 32KB of data cache, along with a Memory Management Unit (MMU) and a Floating Point Unit (FPU) conforming to the IEEE-754 standard.

Connectivity options are extensive, including two 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet Controllers (FECs), a USB 2.0 device controller, up to four programmable serial controllers (PSCs) supporting UART, USART, modem, codec, and IrDA interfaces, I2C, and DSPI. It also includes a 32-bit DDR SDRAM controller supporting 66–133 MHz operation and a version 2.2 PCI bus operating at 33–66 MHz.
