The MC74HC164ADR2 from ON Semiconductor is a high-performance silicon-gate CMOS 8-bit serial-input to parallel-output shift register. This device features two serial data inputs, A1 and A2, allowing one to be used as a data enable. Data is entered on each rising edge of the clock, and an active-low asynchronous Reset input overrides the clock and serial data inputs.
