The Multicomp Pro MC-44PLCC-SMT is a surface mount PLCC socket with 44 positions, designed for reliable connections with EIA/JEDEC compliant Plastic Leaded Chip Carriers.
This socket features consistent, uniform high retention contacts and a no solder wicking design. The insulator is made from high-temperature PPS material, colored brown, and the contacts are phosphor bronze with tin over copper plating. It operates within a temperature range of -55 to +105°C and can withstand soldering process temperatures up to 260°C.
Electrically, the MC-44PLCC-SMT has a maximum operating voltage of 250V AC and a maximum current rating of 1 Ampere. It offers a maximum contact resistance of 30 mΩ initial and a minimum insulation resistance of 1,000 MΩ. The dielectric withstanding voltage is 500V AC for 1 minute.
Mechanically, it has a maximum insertion force of 6.35 oz and a minimum withdrawal force of 1 oz. The socket is supplied in anti-ESD plastic tubes. It is UL recognized, File no. E224053.
