The MAX6499ATA+T is an overvoltage protection controller from Analog Devices Inc./Maxim Integrated, part of the MAX6495–MAX6499 family. It operates over a wide supply voltage range from 5.5V to 72V and is designed for high-voltage transient systems in automotive and industrial applications. The device monitors the input voltage and controls an external nMOSFET to isolate the load during overvoltage conditions. An integrated charge-pump provides a 10V gate-to-source voltage to fully enhance the nMOSFET. When the input voltage exceeds the user-adjustable overvoltage threshold, the gate is quickly pulled low, disconnecting the load. The MAX6499ATA+T is available in an 8-TDFN (3x3) surface mount package and is specified for operation from -40°C to +125°C. It is RoHS3 compliant (unverified) and has an MSL of 1. The device is categorized under TVS - Mixed Technology for circuit protection applications.
