This transceiver integrates three line drivers and five line receivers, offering a full duplex communication capability. It supports data rates up to 500kbps and features ±15kV ESD protection on its serial port connection pins, meeting TIA/EIA-232-F and ITU V.28 standards. The device operates within a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.

 

Packaged in a 28-TSSOP, the MAX3243EIPW is designed for surface mounting. It includes an always-active noninverting receiver output (ROUT2B) for applications using the ring indicator, even when the device is powered down. The low standby current of 1µA typical contributes to power efficiency.
