The LT1081CSW#TR is an advanced, low-power 5V RS232 dual driver/receiver from Linear Technology. It guarantees absolutely no latchup and provides a balance between CMOS power dissipation and ruggedness.
Key features include improved speed operating over 120kBaud, and enhanced protection with outputs that can be forced to ±30V. The device consumes a comparable low power of 60mW and has a shutdown supply current of 1µA. Unlike CMOS, its advanced architecture does not load the signal line when shut down or when power is off, putting both receiver and RS232 outputs into a high impedance state.
