The HEF4052BT from Nexperia is a dual 4-channel analogue multiplexer/demultiplexer designed for versatile signal routing applications. Each multiplexer/demultiplexer features four independent inputs/outputs (Y0 to Y3) and a common input/output (Z). The device includes common channel select logic with two address inputs (A0 and A1) and an active LOW enable input (E).
With E LOW, one of the four switches is selected (low impedance ON-state) by A0 and A1. When E is HIGH, all switches enter a high impedance OFF-state, regardless of the address inputs. The digital control inputs (A0, A1, and E) operate within a VDD to VSS range of 3V to 15V. The analogue inputs/outputs (Y0 to Y3, and Z) can swing between VDD as a positive limit and VEE as a negative limit, with VDD - VEE not exceeding 15V.
This component is available in a 16-lead SOIC package, suitable for surface mounting. For digital multiplexer/demultiplexer operation, VEE is typically connected to VSS (ground).
