The PEM FE-632 is a miniature self-clinching fastener from PEM, designed to provide strong, reusable threads in minimal space applications. This fastener family includes types FE, FEO, and UL which are self-locking, with thread locking torque performance equivalent to applicable NASM25027 specifications. Some sizes of FE, FEO, and UL can also be ordered to NASM45938/7 specifications.
Types FEX, FEOX, and U feature free-running class 2B/6H threads. PEM miniature fasteners are designed for easy installation, providing immediate visual indication when properly installed. A strong, knurled collar is completely embedded in the sheet, preventing rotation and ensuring high torque-out resistance that exceeds the self-locking feature's torque. The undercut cavity beneath the collar fills with displaced sheet material, developing excellent pushout resistance. A dry-film lubricant is applied to these fasteners.
These fasteners are suitable for various industries including Automotive, Electronics, Consumer Electronics, Datacom, and more. They are RoHS3 Compliant and have a Moisture Sensitivity Level (MSL) of 1 Unlimited.
