The C&K Components ES23MCKE is a Double Pole Double Throw (DPDT) slide switch from the ES Series. It is designed for through-hole mounting with PC pin termination.
This switch features a contact rating of 0.4VA maximum at 20V AC or DC. It has a mechanical and electrical life of 40,000 make-and-break cycles at full load. The contact resistance is a maximum of 50 milliohms initial, and insulation resistance is a minimum of 1 Gigaohm. The dielectric strength is rated at 500 V RMS minimum.
Operating within a temperature range of -30°C to 85°C, the ES23MCKE is process compatible with an internal o-ring and epoxy base seal, protecting it from wave and reflow soldering, as well as cleaning processes. It meets an IP57 degree of protection, offering protection against harmful dust deposit and temporary immersion. ESD endurance is a minimum of 8kV.
Typical applications for this series include computer peripherals, network products, test & measurement equipment, and telephone & cable modems. The switch housing and base are made of Nylon (UL 94V-0), the actuator is LCP (UL 94V-0), and the contacts are phosphor bronze with gold plating.
