The DF63-5S-3.96C is a 5-position, single-row socket housing from Hirose Electric's DF63 series. It features a 3.96mm pitch and is designed for wire-to-board internal power supply applications. The housing accepts crimp contacts (sold separately) and is rated for a maximum current of 15A when using 16 AWG wire. The latch lock fastening mechanism provides a secure connection with a clear tactile click, preventing incomplete mating. The molded lance design prevents wire tangling, and the wall structure between contacts prevents short circuits. The housing is black in color and operates over a temperature range of -55°C to 105°C. It is free hanging (in-line) and can be potted up to 5mm. Compliance includes RoHS3 and REACH unaffected.
