The DDMME-50P-Z is a 50-position D-Sub plug connector from ITT Cannon, part of the D*M series. It features male pins with gold over nickel plating on copper alloy contacts, ensuring reliable signal transmission. The connector is designed for panel mount with through-hole solder termination, and includes a board-side flange with 4-40 threaded inserts for secure mounting.
Electrical specifications include a maximum current rating of 7.5A per contact, contact resistance of 7.5 milliohms maximum, and dielectric withstanding voltage of 1000 VAC at sea level. The operating temperature range is -55°C to +150°C, making it suitable for harsh environments. The insulator is made of thermoplastic PCT with UL94 V-0 flammability rating, and the shell is steel with a tin finish.
This connector accepts wire gauges from AWG 20 to 28 and is rated for 500 mating cycles minimum. It passes a 48-hour salt spray test, indicating good corrosion resistance.
