It is fully compatible with USB V2.0 and emulates standard serial ports, making it ideal for upgrading existing serial peripheral devices or adding extra serial ports via USB. This chip supports half-duplex communication and provides a transmit status indication (TNOW) for RS485 switching. It can support RS232 interfaces through external level conversion components. The CH343P operates with USB-side voltages of 5V or 3.3V and offers independent I/O power supply options from 1.8V to 5V, with anti-backflow protection. It integrates power-on reset and a clock, eliminating the need for an external crystal oscillator. Available in SOP16, ESSOP10, and QFN16 lead-free packages, it is RoHS compliant.
