The CD74HC393E from HAR is a high-speed CMOS dual 4-stage ripple-carry binary counter. Each counter stage is a master-slave flip-flop, advancing its state on the negative transition of the clock pulse. A high voltage level on the Master Reset (MR) line resets all counters to their zero state. This device features fully static operation, buffered inputs, and common reset.
Electrical characteristics include a wide operating voltage range. For HC types, operation is from 2V to 6V with high noise immunity. For HCT types, operation is from 4.5V to 5.5V, offering direct LSTTL input logic compatibility. Standard outputs provide a fanout of 10 LSTTL loads, while bus driver outputs support 15 LSTTL loads. The operating temperature range spans from -55°C to 125°C.
Available in a 14-lead PDIP package, the CD74HC393E is suitable for through-hole mounting. It is designed for applications requiring reliable counting and state advancement with negative-edge clocking and a common reset function.
