Vishay BZG03C160-M3-08 is a surface mount Zener diode from the BZG03C-M series. It features a nominal Zener voltage of 160V with a tolerance of ±4.06%. The device is capable of dissipating up to 1.25W of power when the thermal resistance to ambient is below 100 K/W, and up to 3W when the thermal resistance is below 25 K/W. It can handle a non-repetitive peak surge power of 600W for a 100 μs square pulse, making it suitable for transient voltage suppression.
The diode is packaged in a DO-214AC (SMA) surface mount package, weighing 64 mg. It supports a junction temperature up to 150°C and a storage temperature range of -65°C to +150°C. The device is RoHS3 compliant, halogen-free, and has MSL 1 moisture sensitivity. The molding compound meets UL 94 V-0 flammability rating.
This Zener diode is designed for voltage stabilization and can be used in a variety of electronic circuits requiring a precise reference voltage. Its surface mount package allows for reflow soldering with a peak temperature of 260°C.
