The BCX70K,215 is an NPN general purpose bipolar junction transistor in the BCX70 series from Nexperia. It is designed for low-current, low-voltage switching and amplification in SOT-23 surface-mount applications. The device uses a three-lead plastic package with base, emitter, and collector terminals.
This transistor has maximum collector-base and collector-emitter voltages of 45V and a maximum emitter-base voltage of 5V. Continuous collector current is rated at 100mA, with peak collector current of 200mA. DC current gain (hFE) is 380 to 630 at Ic=2mA and Vce=5V, and remains at least 100 at 10µA and 50mA test conditions. Maximum collector-emitter saturation voltage is 550mV at Ic=50mA and Ib=1.25mA, and 350mV at 10mA/0.25mA.
With a transition frequency of 250MHz and maximum power dissipation of 250mW at 25°C ambient, the BCX70K is suited for general purpose switching and small-signal amplification. Thermal resistance from junction to ambient is 500K/W on FR4. The operating ambient temperature range is -65°C to +150°C. The PNP complement to this device is the BCX71 series.
