The Nexperia BC817DS is an NPN/NPN general-purpose double transistor integrated in a single SOT457 (SC-74) surface-mount package. Each transistor offers a maximum collector-emitter voltage (VCEO) of 45V and a continuous collector current rating of 500mA, with peak current capability up to 1A. The DC current gain (hFE) ranges from 160 to 400 at VCE = 1V and IC = 100mA, making it suitable for linear amplification and switching applications.
Designed for general-purpose switching and amplification, the BC817DS reduces component count and simplifies PCB assembly compared to two discrete transistors. The part is AEC-Q101 qualified, ensuring reliability for automotive and other demanding environments. The device is rated for operation up to a maximum junction temperature of 150°C, with a total power dissipation of 600mW for the dual package (370mW per transistor) when mounted on a standard FR4 PCB.
