The BAT854CW is a planar Schottky barrier dual diode with an integrated guard ring for stress protection, encapsulated in a very small SOT323 (SC-70) surface-mounted device plastic package. It features very low forward voltage and very low reverse current, making it suitable for low power consumption applications.
Key electrical specifications include a maximum reverse voltage of 40V, continuous forward current of 200mA, and repetitive peak forward current of 300mA. Forward voltage is typically 340mV at 10mA and maximum 420mV at 30mA (25°C). Reverse current is limited to 0.5µA at 25V, and diode capacitance is 20pF maximum at 1V and 1MHz. The device operates over a junction temperature range up to 150°C and is rated for storage from -65°C to 150°C.
Typical applications include ultra high-speed switching, voltage clamping, protection circuits, blocking diodes, and hand-held portable electronics. The common cathode configuration (1 pair) simplifies PCB layout for dual-diode circuits. The SOT323 package measures 2mm x 1.25mm x 0.95mm with a 1.3mm pitch, suitable for space-constrained designs.
