The BAS85,115 from Nexperia is a planar Schottky barrier diode designed for ultra high-speed switching and voltage clamping applications. It features a low forward voltage of 800 mV maximum at 100 mA and a reverse voltage rating of 30 V. The device is housed in a hermetically sealed glass SOD-80C surface-mount package (also known as MiniMELF) with tin-plated metal end caps, making it suitable for automatic placement and immersion soldering.
Key electrical specifications include a maximum forward current of 200 mA, a repetitive peak forward current of 300 mA (tp ≤ 1 s, δ ≤ 0.5), and a non-repetitive peak forward current of 5 A (tp = 10 ms). The diode offers low reverse leakage with a maximum reverse current of 2.3 µA at 25 V, and a diode capacitance of 10 pF at 1 V and 1 MHz. The operating junction temperature range is -65°C to +125°C, with a maximum thermal resistance from junction to ambient of 320 K/W.
This component is RoHS3 compliant, REACH unaffected, and has an MSL rating of 1 (unlimited). It is ideally suited for use in protection circuits, blocking diodes, and ultra high-speed switching applications where low forward voltage and high breakdown voltage are required.
