The BAS321 is a general purpose fast recovery diode fabricated in planar technology, designed for high-speed switching in surface mounted circuits. Key electrical specifications include a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage of 250V, continuous reverse voltage of 200V, and forward current of 250mA. The diode features a fast reverse recovery time of 50 ns and a low forward voltage drop of 1.25V at 200mA. Typical capacitance is 2 pF at 0V bias.
Housed in a small SOD323 (SC-76) plastic SMD package, the BAS321 is suitable for compact designs. It offers a total power dissipation of 300 mW when mounted on an FR4 PCB, and a maximum junction temperature of 150°C. The storage temperature range is -65°C to 150°C.
This diode is ideal for general purpose switching applications, including rectification, clamping, and protection circuits in low-power electronics. Its fast recovery characteristic makes it suitable for high-frequency switching in dc-dc converters and signal processing.
