The BAR42FILM is a small signal Schottky diode designed for general purpose applications requiring low turn-on voltage and fast switching. Manufactured by STMicroelectronics, this diode features a metal-to-silicon junction that provides very low forward voltage drop and high switching speed.
Key electrical characteristics include a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage (VRRM) of 30V, a continuous forward current (IF) of 100mA, and a surge current (IFSM) of 750mA for 10ms sinusoidal. The forward voltage ranges from 0.35V to 0.4V at 10mA and up to 1V at 100mA. Reverse leakage current is typically 500nA at 25°C and 100µA at 100°C. The diode has a typical reverse recovery time of 5ns.
The device is offered in a SOT-23-3 surface mount package, suitable for automated assembly.
