AD7980BRMZ Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The Analog Devices AD7980BRMZ is a high-performance 16-bit Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) featuring a 1 MSPS throughput rate. This PulSAR ADC offers excellent accuracy with a typical Integral Non-Linearity (INL) of ±0.6 LSB and a Signal-to-Noise and Distortion Ratio (SINAD) of 91.25 dB at 10 kHz.

Designed for power-sensitive applications, the AD7980BRMZ exhibits low power dissipation, consuming only 4 mW (VDD only) at 1 MSPS. It operates from a single 2.5 V supply and supports a pseudo-differential analog input range from 0 V to VREF, where VREF can be between 2.5 V and 5.5 V. The device interfaces with microcontrollers and DSPs via a proprietary serial interface compatible with SPI, QSPI, and MICROWIRE standards.

Packaged in a 10-lead MSOP, the AD7980BRMZ is suitable for surface-mount applications. It operates across a wide temperature range of -40°C to +125°C, making it ideal for demanding environments. Its features make it well-suited for battery-powered equipment and other portable electronic devices.
