The AD7880CR is a 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Analog Devices, utilizing successive-approximation register (SAR) architecture. It features a sampling rate of 66 kHz and a conversion time of 12 µs, with an on-chip track/hold amplifier providing a 3 µs acquisition time. The device accepts two single-ended inputs and provides a parallel data interface.
Operating from a single +5 V supply, the AD7880CR consumes 25 mW typical power during normal operation and 2 mW in power save mode. It achieves a typical signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 70 dB, making it suitable for applications such as battery-powered portable systems, digital signal processing, speech recognition, and high-speed modems.
The AD7880CR is available in a 24-lead SOIC package (0.295" width) with surface mount mounting. It operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. The device supports external or supply reference type and is RoHS compliant (unverified).
