The AD5683RBRMZ-3-RL7 is a single-channel 16-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) from Analog Devices. It provides a buffered voltage output and uses a string DAC architecture. The device supports both external and internal reference options, producing output spans of 0 V to VREF or 0 V to 2 × VREF. Communication is via an SPI interface, and the settling time is a typical 7 µs.
Key electrical ratings include a supply voltage range of 2.7 V to 5.5 V and an operating temperature range of -40°C to +105°C. The internal reference has a typical drift of 2 ppm/°C, and power consumption is approximately 1.2 mW at 3.3 V. The DAC is specified with an integral nonlinearity of ±3 LSB maximum (±1 LSB for the higher-accuracy option).
The AD5683RBRMZ-3-RL7 is suited for a variety of precision voltage-generation tasks, including process controls, data acquisition systems, digital gain and offset adjustment, and programmable voltage sources. The device comes in a 10-MSOP surface-mount package, and includes 4 kV HBM ESD protection for robust industrial use.
