The Allegro™ ACS758 family of current sensor ICs provides economical and precise solutions for AC or DC current sensing. The ACS758LCB-050B-PFF-T features a Hall effect, open-loop sensor type with a 50A current rating and bidirectional polarization. It outputs a ratiometric voltage proportional to the current, with a sensitivity of 40mV/A and accuracy of ±2%.
This device operates from a 3V to 5.5V supply voltage and has a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to 150°C. The integrated copper conduction path has a typical resistance of 100 µΩ, minimizing power loss. It is suitable for applications such as motor control, load detection and management, power supply control, inverter control, and overcurrent fault detection.
The sensor is housed in a 5-CB module package with through-hole mounting. It offers a fast response time of 4µs and a frequency response up to 120kHz. Allegro's proprietary integrated shield technology provides high-level immunity to current conductor dV/dt and stray electric fields.
