The Texas Instruments 5962-8855601EA is a digitally controlled analog switch utilizing silicon gate CMOS technology. It achieves operating speeds comparable to LSTTL while maintaining low power consumption. This device functions as an analog multiplexer and demultiplexer, capable of controlling analog voltages across the supply range (VCC to VEE).
Key electrical characteristics include a wide analog input voltage range of ±5V maximum and low ON-resistance, typically 70Ω at VCC – VEE = 4.5V and 40Ω at VCC – VEE = 9V. It supports a switch voltage range of 0V to 10V and an operation control voltage of 4.5V to 5.5V. The device features direct LSTTL input logic compatibility with VIL of 0.8V maximum and VIH of 2V minimum, as well as CMOS input compatibility with low input current.
Designed for bidirectional switching, any analog input can serve as an output and vice versa. It exhibits low crosstalk between switches and fast switching speeds, incorporating break-before-make switching. An enable control is present, which disables all switches to their OFF state when high.
This component is supplied in a 16-pin CDIP (J) package, suitable for through-hole mounting. It operates within a wide temperature range of -55°C to 125°C. The standard package quantity is 25 units per tube.
