The VARTA EasyBlade 24 (part number 56654 799 098) is a rechargeable lithium-ion battery module built on a Lithium Nickel Manganese Cobalt Oxide (NMC) chemistry. It delivers a nominal voltage of 25.9V with a typical capacity of 58Ah and 1502Wh of energy. The module is designed for use in automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), providing a standardized and scalable power solution.
The battery module features an integrated battery management system (BMS) with a master-slave concept that monitors cell balance and temperature distribution. Communication is handled via CAN Bus (CANopen) protocol, allowing access to state of charge, state of health, and cycle status data. The module supports up to 25 units in parallel for higher capacity requirements.
Electrical specifications include a maximum charge voltage of 29.05V, recommended charge current of 20.6A, and maximum continuous discharge current of 60A. The module delivers a maximum pulse discharge current of 65A for 3 seconds. Expected cycle life is 1200 cycles at 0.5C/0.5C charge/discharge at 22°C±2°C, retaining at least 80% of initial capacity.
The module measures 330mm x 80mm x 230mm (L x W x H) and weighs approximately 9.6kg. It features threaded post terminations (M6 negative, M8 positive) and an IP30 rating (not water resistant). Operating temperature ranges from 0°C to +50°C for charging and -20°C to +55°C for discharging. The module is certified to IEC62133-2:2017, UN38.3, UL2595, IEC60335, and UL2271 standards.
The nominal voltage is 25.9V with a typical capacity of 58Ah and typical energy of 1502Wh.
