The 1.5SMC9.1A-E3/57T is a unidirectional transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode from Vishay's 1.5SMC series. It is designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients induced by inductive load switching and lightning. Key electrical specifications include a reverse standoff voltage of 7.78V, a maximum clamping voltage of 13.4V at 112A peak pulse current (10/1000µs waveform), and a peak pulse power rating of 1500W. The device features a glass passivated chip junction and very fast response time. It is housed in a surface mount SMC (DO-214AB) package with matte tin plated leads, suitable for automated placement.
