The ZM33064GTA from Diodes Incorporated is a three-terminal undervoltage monitor circuit ideal for 5-volt microprocessor systems. It features a precise 4.6V threshold voltage, making it suitable for monitoring power supply stability.
The device includes a comparator with built-in hysteresis to prevent erratic operation and an open collector output capable of sinking at least 10mA. It provides a power-on reset function, holding the output low from 1 volt up to the threshold voltage. If the supply voltage drops below the threshold, the output will again pull low.
This voltage monitor is available in a SOT-223 package for surface mount applications. It operates reliably from 1 volt up to 6.5 volts, with a typical quiescent current of 200μA at 5V. The typical propagation delay is 1.5μs.
Applications include microprocessor systems, computers, computer peripherals, instrumentation, automotive, and battery-powered equipment.
