The ZLNB2012Q16TC from Diodes Incorporated is a dual polarisation and tone switch controller designed for satellite receiver LNB support circuits. This device features two independent channels, each providing logic outputs for LNB polarisation selection, local oscillator selection, and downfeed disable. The polarisation control inputs have a nominal threshold of 14.25V with a switching range of 14.0V to 14.5V, and are temperature compensated. A secondary threshold at 9V detects when a receiver is not present, allowing the downfeed driver to be disabled to prevent cable mismatch issues.

The ZLNB2012Q16TC supports universal LNB local oscillator selection through the detection of a low-level AC voltage superimposed on the polarisation control voltage, utilizing separate tone detectors for each channel. Control of detector bandwidth and sensitivity is adjustable via external components. The outputs are TTL, CMOS, Pin diode, and IF amp capable, and can directly drive multiplexer ICs.

Packaged in a 16-SSOP (0.154", 3.90mm Width) surface mount configuration, this component operates from a single supply voltage ranging from 5-8V. It is suitable for applications requiring precise control of LNB functions in satellite receiver systems.
